Autumn Mushroom Jar – Clay Hand-Building
Saturday, November 15 • 6:00–8:00 PM
Cozy fall vibes, coming right up! In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll hand-build an adorable lidded mushroom jar—perfect for tea lights, trinkets, or fairy-house décor. We’ll guide you step-by-step through building the base and cap, carving a little door/window, adding textures, and fitting the lid so it sits just right. Make it whimsical, spooky-cute, or woodland chic—your design, your way.
You’ll learn: pinch + slab techniques, score & slip joins, adding texture, and simple lid mechanics.
What’s included: all clay, tools, instruction, and your kiln firings.
Glazing: After the first firing (about 2 weeks), come back for a quick glaze visit—on us! We’ll fire it again for a glossy, food-safe finish.
Ages: 13+ (no experience needed).
Time: ~2 hours.
What to bring/wear: comfy clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on.
Seats are limited—save your spot and let’s make something magical!
All clay hand-built pieces have to be dried, then fired in our kilns. This process typically takes around two weeks. We will contact you when your pieces are fired and ready to be painted! All material and supplies included in pricing.
Once kiln fired, the mug will be ready for painting! Painting is included in pricing! Come back for no extra charge to paint and add on all your finishing details. After pieces are painted they will then be fired in our kilns one final time, and will be ready for pickup within a week!
Try something new! Perfect class for friends and family or anyone who wants to learn more about working with clay!
