Penguin Jar – Hand-Building Clay Class

Get cozy and creative with clay in this adorable Penguin Jar hand-building class! In this fully guided workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of clay hand-building while creating a charming penguin-shaped jar complete with a winter hat and scarf.

Our talented instructors will walk you step-by-step through shaping, assembling, and detailing your penguin using professional ceramic techniques. No prior clay experience is needed — just come ready to have fun and get a little messy!

This piece makes a wonderful winter décor item or keepsake and is perfect for holding small treasures, treats, or surprises.

After class, your piece will be dried, kiln-fired, and ready for you to return to the studio for painting (usually within 14 days). Once painted and fired a second time, your penguin jar will be ready to take home and display.

Your registration includes:

• All clay and materials

• Step-by-step instruction

• First kiln firing

• Return visit to glaze/paint your piece

• Final glaze firing

These pieces will be dried and fired in our kiln, which can typically take around two weeks.
