A hands-on clay experience for kids ages 8–14! Participants will create one hand-built clay project and one wheel-thrown piece, then return for a painting session two weeks later before a final glaze firing.

Clay Creation Day is part of our Spring Break Creative Experience—a two-part pottery journey designed to give kids a full, satisfying clay experience from start to finish.

During the initial session, kids will get their hands messy and learn the basics of working with clay through both hand-building and pottery wheel throwing.

What Kids Will Create

  • One hand-built clay project
  • One wheel-thrown clay piece

Techniques & Skills Kids Will Learn

  • Hand-building fundamentals
  • Intro to pottery wheel throwing
  • Clay tools, texture, and form

After the Session

  • Pieces are professionally dried and bisque fired
  • Families return approximately two weeks later to glaze
  • Final glaze firing included

Families will be notified when it’s time to come back for painting, and again when final pieces are ready for pickup.

🎁 Bonus: Each participant also receives a watercolor sketchbook and watercolor set to take home for continued creativity.

Spring Break Creative Experience – Cancellation Policy

Because Spring Break Creative Experiences require advance staffing, materials, and kiln scheduling, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Full refunds are available if cancellation is made at least three (3) weeks before the scheduled session.

  • Studio credit is available if cancellation is made at least one (1) week before the scheduled session.

  • Cancellations made within one (1) week of the session are non-refundable.

If your child is unable to attend, you may transfer the registration to another child (such as a sibling or family member) by notifying the studio prior to the session, provided the replacement child meets the age requirements.

Missed sessions cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
